STATESBORO - For the first time, the Betty Foy Sanders Department of Art is showing its annual juried student exhibitions online due to COVID-19, according to a Georgia Southern University press release.
The first of the three exhibitions, "Form and Content," can be viewed online through April 12.
Gallery director Jason Hoelscher said in the press release that the exhibitions have posed a series of logistical challenges, but he is excited to be able to host them online.
“This year we had a great selection of work across multiple disciplines and media," Hoelscher said in the press release. "The fact that our students are already doing work at this level so early in their studies is impressive and I can’t wait to see what they will be doing as they progress.”
The exhibition features work by 40 students. A former head curator at the Averitt Center for the Arts, Sheila Stewart-Leach, juried the exhibition.
