Stacey Abrams will speak to Georgia Southern on Sept. 24 at the Performing Arts Center.

STATESBORO — Stacey Abrams, the 2018 Democratic nominee for Governor of Georgia, will be speaking at Georgia Southern University on Sept. 24. 

Abrams will be speaking on behalf National Voter Registration Day. Lynn Westmoreland, former Georgia 3rd District representative, will also be speaking at the event. 

The talk, titled “Leadership and the Power of the Vote,” will begin with Abrams speaking at 2:30 p.m. and Westmoreland speaking at 5 p.m.

The event will be held at the Performing Arts Center.
