Robertson verbally committed to Georgia Southern on Thursday.

Seth Robertson, Madison, Georgia native, verbally committed to Georgia Southern via Twitter Thursday.

"It was crazy because going into my junior year, I didn't have any sort of offers or looks. I had a pretty good junior season football wise and colleges started coming in," Robertson said of the recruiting process.

Going into his senior year at Morgan County High School, Robertson has already made quite an impact in the record books. Last season, he recorded seven touchdowns and 527 total yards as a slot receiver, though he primarily played cornerback and finished with four interceptions, 10 deflections and over 50 tackles.

"It's just the mentality at Georgia Southern, that GATA mentality. When I was on the visit, they had the family mentality that I wanted to be a part of," Robertson said. "As soon as I came in, they made it visible that I could start my freshman year. That was a big factor. And then just how they treated me when I was down there."

In addition to being a standout football player, the 5’11 athlete has taken the lead on the baseball and track teams. He led the baseball team in stolen bases when leading off in the ninth hole and boasted a .300+ batting average. At the 2019 Patriot Invitational, Robertson finished first in the triple jump, and holds the school record for long jump, with a staggering 22’9 ½”.

Robertson received offers from Georgia State, Colorado State and Appalachian State among others.

"I just wanted to get the college commitment out of the way," Robertson said. "Now I can focus on my team and lead us to some wins this season."
