The Eagles now sit at a two-game loss streak while looking at an overall record of 7-16 and a conference record of 2-10, placing them last in the Sun Belt.

Georgia Southern women's basketball dropped another conference game Thursday night, this time to South Alabama by a score of 60-73.

GS traveled to Mobile on Thursday, where they ran into the Jaguars of South Alabama, dropping yet another conference affair. The Eagles fall to 2-10 in Sun Belt action this season, and boast a 7-16 overall record with just six regular season games remaining.

In a game was back and forth for most of the period, the Jaguars used a 12-3 run to put away GS late in the fourth, but before that point both teams were trading blows. After trailing by just three points at the half, GS took a two-point deficit into the final period of action, thanks in large part to junior guard Alexis Brown, who scored 21 points en route to her third double-double of the season.

The Eagles get ready to square off against the Trojans of Troy on the road this Saturday. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m.
