The Eagles currently sit on a four game win streak and a 10-5 conference record while being tied for second in the Sun Belt with rival Georgia State.

The Georgia Southern men’s basketball team will be playing two of their last three regular season games Thursday and Saturday at home as they host Little Rock and Arkansas State

Georgia Southern (18-10; 10-5)

The Eagles have seen success on the court for the last two weeks of play, running with a four-game winning streak. With their success they’ve boosted their conference record to 10-5, placing them at tied for second in the conference with Georgia State.

As a team the Eagles have vastly improved over the season, showing a shooting percentage of 50.1 from the floor as well as an average of 69 percent on free-throws.

Senior guard Tookie Brown continues to lead the Eagles while averaging 17.8 points per game and shooting 50.7 percent from the floor.

Redshirt-sophomore Quan Jackson is another Eagle to step up for GS this season as he’s been an important team leader, contributing just about 15 points per game as well as averaging 32.2 minutes of play per game.

Little Rock (10-17; 5-9)

The LR Trojans are currently looking at a loss streak of two and a conference record of 5-9 as they hit the road to Statesboro.

As a team the Trojans average around 75 points per game as well as shooting 48.5 percent from the floor.

Leading LR is Rayjon Tucker who has seen 956 total minutes on the court this season while averaging 20.3 points per game. Tucker is the only Trojan to have started every match he’s played in as well as averaging just under seven rebounds per game.

The Eagles are set to take on the LR Trojans in Hanner Fieldhouse on Thursday at 7 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.

Arkansas State (11-15, 5-8)

The Arkansas State Red Wolves will be the second team the Eagles will face in their week of play. The Red Wolves have fallen more successful in their second half of the season as they’re on a two-game win streak and will be looking to bring that winning momentum to Statesboro.

ASU shows for an overall record of 11-15, but only tallies an on-the-road record of 2-10, leaving the advantage to the hosting Eagles on this match.

A big player the Eagles need to be on the look out for is team leader Ty Cockfield who puts up an average of 22 points per game as well as shooting 44.2 percent from the floor. Cockfield has also logged 901 minutes of total play on the season as well as starting and playing in all 26 games for the Red Wolves.

As a team the Red Wolves show to shoot 42 percent from the floor as well as averaging 74.2 points per game.

Tip off is set for 5 p.m. on Saturday at Hanner Fieldhouse, and the match will be streamed on TrueBlue Live.
